The claim that Obama was not born in the USA was unfounded, absurd, and turned out to be entirely false. It was also not an assertion coming from some fringe element of that party. It's pretty obvious why the claim was being made--it would not have been made had he been white.

@Logicalpoots Well I still think you're failing to grasp the point. It's not about giving black people "a pass" and white people being responsible. It's about understanding that the world we live in, even if it was perfectly equal now, was installed by people who weren't so equal. That fact has real world consequences... it means racism sits in our hearts (black and white) whether you care to admit it or not. It's still around us and you cannot ignore it and dismiss it as "anti-white"...
