Nov. 12, 2009- Joe Escalante and Brooks Wackerman of the Vandals, both Los Alamitos High alumni, performed with the Griffin Marching Band directed by John Rush during their last home game of 2009 against the Fountain Valley High Barons.
The Griffins are performing a recently published marching band version of the song that was written by Escalante of the Vandals but made popular by No Doubt when they recorded it for one of the "Very Special Christmas" albums that benefit the Special Olympics. If you want your school's band to play this you can get all the punkers and No Doubt fans together and have a bake sale and buy the sheet music for your school's band. It's available at this web site. Good luck!! http://www.jwpepper.com/10066775.item

Brooks is the drummer for Bad Religion and the part time drummer for the Vandals when Josh Freese is not around, which is often, as you might imagine.
