Thanks guys, I've been struggling with this problem for a year. Had to recharge the battery twice after leaving the headlights on. The switch had come loose from the rubber and was inside the frame. Pulled the switch out of the frame, reattached to the rubber fitting, screwed the fitting back in and presto. No more leaving the headlights on. Thanks a million.
