I've been married to my husband for 20 years and he has talked my ear off about these planes since then. So for his birthday last year I arranged for him to take a ride in one. (I'll post the video I made as a response) He got to fly twice and it just so happened Warbird Digest was out filming the plane that day. He got fly with two mustangs and a T6! I couldn't help but cry for watching my husband's dream come true!

Great video! Was that a Hawker Typhoon I saw with the 6-bladed prop (actually 2 counter rotating ones if memory serves) and invasion stripes?

@usafvet100 Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. This is an old video of mine, shot on a really inferior camera. I havent watched it in ages, but the aircraft you are referring to is probably a Griffon engined Spitfire with D-Day invasion stripes. Regards.

@Hanglands Thanks for responding. Since my curiosity was piqued, I actually did a little research last night, and found a photo of a Griffon-engined Seafire (the seagoing version of the Spitfire) with the counter-rotating props mounted on a single shaft. The Typhoon had a big radiator scoop under the spinner. My bad! I wish I had made that airshow. That was an awesome lineup of classic warbirds!

@usafvet100 Flying Legends is the best air show of its type in the UK, the only year I havent been was 2009. I have some much better quality footage from the 2010 show, check my channel. Regards, and best wishes.
