  • The thing I can't understand is that I don't like Calvinism, Arminianism. All I want is what the bible Say.

  • @travismification I don't like either of those as well. That's right, just believe and obey the Scriptures!

  • Ever since I was a Mormon I was told that the Christian Church is false because Joseph Smith said that the church that he was attending was contending with one another Methodism vs Protestant vs Baptist. Now since I became a Christian I keep on hearing about Arminianism vs Calvinism vs all the other ISM out their in Christianity. When I talked to a Calvinist he said that I am not saved. When I talked to the Arminianist he said I am saved.

  • @travismification Don't worry about what all the "isms" say. You just need to read the Bible and obey it. If you want to know whether you are truly a Christian or not, read 1 John.

  • If one doesn't believe that man is not a sinner, one is not reading the Scriptures. The Bible clearly teaches that " 'the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 'I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.' " Jer. 17: 9-10, Ps. 14, Rom. 7:7-25, Rom. 8:10-11...

  • @worshipthelord17 Who said that man is not a sinner? The question in this debate is whether or not man is "born a sinner". None of the verses you reference come even close to proving such a thing...

  • Patrick calvy guy blames for what he is guilty of..wickedly prideful twists & reads n2 scripture & asks just for a partial as a "yes - No" answer like a lawer defending a theif ..cornered retaliation {EVEN when PLEADS for this jeopordizing salvation} yet slides into a willingly blind prideful provocative hate toned discourse - there is no way he cant see the error..unless God sent him dellusion to believe a lie..well, he does sound head strong onto willing deafness. So that just may be the case

  • Jews do not believe in Original Sin, so why would any Christian teach that false teaching? Originals Sin is a Pagan teaching added by the Roman Church fathers and with it they also had to add Eternal Security.

  • you gotta be kidding me .. are you telling me that an innocent new born baby is a sinner ??

are you telling me that mary the vergin mother gave birth to jesus (god) is a sinner .. how in the wolrd can that be ??

  • On the word "Draw" Pat said its translated as "Drag", but in the KJV its always translated Draw (or Drew).

It is the EXACT word Jesus uses to say He would Draw ALL men to Himself. Note in both verses, the issue is of us coming to Christ, first Jesus says we can't without being Drawn by the Father, then second He asserts that He would Draw ALL men to Himself

In Jn 5:19 Jesus confirms that the works He does, are done by the Father, This clearly teaches that the Father Drew ALL men to Christ

  • The Calvinist almost got me by saying that Psalm 58:3 was mistranslated, to bad he was lying through his teeth. He said it should say "Those speaking lies, go astray as soon as thhey are born." rather than "They go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies."

All these Bible translations, however, disagree with the Calvinist: NIV, NLT, ESV, KJV, ASV, DBT, ERV, WBT, WEB, YLT... the only literal translation that supports him is the NASB.
