Ten-year-old Sayid killed himself after being beaten up by classmates and threatened by a teacher at the military school he attended. His parents knew he was troubled, but they had nowhere to turn for help.
Produced by Alexander Kulygin and Anastasia Kirilenko of RFE/RL's Russian Service, with reporting by Claire Bigg.
@OrodesIII It's a very sad story, but it was a military academy, and being a soldier in Russia is tougher than being a soldier anywhere else in the world.
The kid seemed like a peaceful soul who should have persude the arts or some type of higher learning, military was not for him. I wish the school and the parents figured that out in time and withdrew him from the academy, so an innocent and talented little boy didn't have to die.

Incredible insensitivity from the school authorities and their incompetence in maintaining a civilized atmosphere at their institution.
