  • This is what made this movie in a class all by itself. Not only it had screwball comedy, but touching scenes like this one, Tripper being not only a counselor, but a good friend to Rudy. As a cit and then camp staff personnel, I had my fill of supporting and giving advice to the campers, espeically always a one little outcast who needed a big brother for the entire duration of the camp.

    So true to life!

  • great movie!

  • @odiemodie1 I get a tear in my eye everytime I see this scene --- SERIOUSLY !!! I could relate to that character Rudy Gurdner!!!! I knew a camp counselor just like Tripper!!! I LIVED THIS SCENE!! i LOVE MEATBALLS FOR THIS ONE SCENE ALONE!!

  • @madgab5 Yes, indeed it is. Remember the later scene when Tripper is walking with Rudy in the woods and he tells this funny joke:

Tripper: Did you read in the paper this morning about the Polish terrorist?

    Rudy: No.

Tripper: Oh, it was a tragedy! They sent this guy to blow up a car and the guy burns his mouth on the tailpipe! That's an old one.......we get it a lot up here......WATCH OUT, RATTLESNAKE!

    :-)

  • It's basically Bill Murray and a lot of unknown Canadian actors (outside of Harvey Atkin). This was his first starring role and he had to carry the whole damn film. It's a heck of a performance.

  • If that scene doesn't make you smile, no matter your opinions of...whatever it is that bugs you in life, then..I don't know, cause it's pretty sweet and innocent and just good :)

  • that kid was in My Bodyguard and was very like he is here. Good movie.

  • The movie was filmed in Haliburton Ontario. The camp it was filmed at is called Camp White Pine. Hands down the best camp movie you will ever see. Watch it every June 25, when it's kind of nippy!

  • He called his meal fries not chips. The bus sign said "Anywhere you want to go" and had an American map.

  • Is this a Canadian production? I never knew

  • @madgab5 Dont be gay

  • I like how Tripper connects with Rudy here. It's a sweet scene...
