The DD-2 or DD-3 (the same thing actually) is analog circuitry with a digital chip to process the signal instead of the BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) that all analog Delays used. The DM-2 BBD has 4096 Stages giving a max of 300ms. The IC in the DD-2 offers 800ms.

It seems the DD2 gives it a bit of a reverb along with the delay repeats. I used to have a PDS-2000 from Digitech, a long time ago. I used it with very short delay setting to use it almost like a reverb. Since now I have an Orange amp with built-in reverb, I could easily use an analog delay instead of digital. By the way, very good demo. : )

Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate these pedals. Really cool!

I like the way the Ibanez sounds...almost "smokey" sounding if that makes any sense.

yeah i think the digital one sounds not as warm as the analog delays. how much did you pay for the boss dm-2 ?

holy crap that fender twin purrs like a kitten

@minitel3615simon Thanks for wasting your time here!
I use the DM-2 and DD-2 on my board, and they're both great. DM-2 is my favorite analog, and the DD-2 is the warmest digital I've ever found.

@rovibe
I no longer use any of the pedals in this video.
I've purchased a Empress Super Delay, I personally think its the best delay in pedal form, for analog (tape) sound and crystal clear digital delay sounds it has everything and more.
