submariner, ifrst of all i do not like obama's policy about gay marriage either but if we have a gay justice then that's a step forward for us. we may finally be close to having equal rights. a gay justice would fight for our rights. that is what we need

hell yeah! we need a gay Supreme Court Justice. In the midst of the African American civil rights movement President Johnson appointed the first African American. The same kind of thing happened for the first women. It's time gays get their representation.
