  • Awesome. Afterimage has always been one of my very favorite Rush songs (one that is criminally underrated) and I have literally never even so much as heard a bootleg live version of this song. This is a real treat.

  • I actually preferred the 80s (especially HYF) when he sang in a lower register with a more matured voice

still he had the capability to shriek but he had no need tbh

  • @RockyBalboa7777 This is why the internet is fucking amazing.

  • I was there.Best show I ever saw. Those guys recorded at Morin-Heights.The best studio in Canada and now it's empty and dying. There's even an old piano lonely and dying with the rest of the building. It's very sad. That studio made everyone proud in Quebec.Everyone new about a studio nestled in the Laurentian forest cause a lot big names recorded there; The Police,Bowie,Bee Gees,April Wine and of course Rush.Having one of the best recording console it shouldn't have to close. Now it is silent.

  • Amazing song. I have lost my brother and my mother during the span of the release of this song. you can see the pain if Geddy and Neil's face in the video. I would love to see a live version that shows the same emotion. Rush reaches out to some of us with their lyrics that are the most profound in the industry. "Grace" while falling short in critics' eyes musically speaks to some of us on a very deep level. Share what you have and never let their influence die.

  • dag, it sounds just like the record.

  • @spitfire71068 On the TFE Tour I saw Al flip out over a volume situation (probably monitors)... He kept giving the "up" sign, then after the song was over took off his guitar and walked over and gave someone an ear full. We're all human! hehe... Glad I wasn't that monitor (or whoever got chewed out) guy!

  • @BeyondWithinOnline I've seen a few glitches here and there. Saw them almost collapse a tune at one point (song/tour slip my mind). I've seen Alex flip out on his guitar tech more than once, usually after busting a string and not getting another guitar in-hand in a timely manner. (Usually with evil glare in direction of tech.) By and large, they're pretty close to flawless, but never completely.

  • @spitfire71068 Ya know, it's funny that they seldom even have a glitch, at least that us fans see. I kind of like seeing the glitches, like the vid on YouTube where Al's guitar goes dead in the middle of the song. That stuff is kind of interesting.

  • @miadolph72 Yes! We were at the same gig. I remember it was right after Marillion's first album came out. "We've been taking sh*t from a**holes for five nights now..." I rather liked Marillion; still do, particularly the Fish era.
