Some basic principles in Blender Texturing. Please excuse the sound quality. And yes, I know a "point" is called a vertex, but if I say point, then I don't have to explain what that is = ).

  • Hey vandrewlongstrider,

Thanks for youre tutorial! But how can i let the render show up in my game? Thanks, sorry for my bad English.

  • @RichardWeug Sorry, I've never worked with the game system in Blender, so I can't help. Your English is ok though :)

  • What I would like to know is, how good is Blender compared to other commercial products like Lightwave and 3dsMax? Is it capable of creating high quality renders?

  • Animation can be rendered up to 1080i HD.

  • Can I use some vector graphics as my texture?

  • Yup! Depending on what kind of object you are texturing it might take a little fooling around to get it to appear how you want it, but you can definitely do it.

  • Blender is just as capable as any other 3d modeling software, if not better.

  • This was very helpful. Thank you very much

  • I don't know if anyone knows but; when you want to extetnal edit a texture image its usefull to have the face edges printed on the image, do you know a way to get face edges on the UV map?

  • Thank you for this, I am just starting out in Blender and this was very helpful. My only problem is that it does not show up in the 3D view window as you are editing (with the view set to "Textured"), this is not a major problem for me as it still renders perfectly. Thanks for a great tutorial.

  • @RichardWeug thats myproblem to :(....

  • Wish i could get more sound volume--- recording at low levels?

  • How do you put the texture into 3D View?

  • 3:02 - 3:04 Thanks, that made my day.
