pt.1

My uncle and I decided to go for a little walk.

The hike was from the north end of Smoky Mountains National Park to the south end -- 72 miles in six and two half days (days one and eight were half days). May 14-22, 2009.

Pictures and video from my wimply point-and-click camera don't do this park justice. Epicly beautiful.

1st night - Campsite 29
2nd night - Tricorner Knob Shelter
3rd night - Icewater Springs Shelter
4th night - Mount Collins Shelter
5th night - Siler's Bald Shelter
6th night - Spence Field Shelter
7th night - Campsite 89

The song is "Voices in the Dark" by Enigma

  • Glad you enjoyed your hike. I have all the "stuff" and live about 100 miles from the AT but my home is just a few miles from the "Mountain to Sea Trail". I can't seem to get away to hike though :(

    Love the mountains!

  • The song's great, but it's really 11:58 long, and the artist is a European band called "Erotic Dreams Project", the album is "Temple of Love".

It was sold in the US as "Enigma", since Enigma has a more established listener base. :)

Still, it's one of the best "pick me up" tunes when I'm feeling exhausted ;)
