I visited Italy for the first time in 2008. I went to Italy for history, food, music, sculpture, architecture, fashion, color, fresco, beautiful islands, beautiful women and sunshine. We decided to go to Pompeii and dsicovered Naples. everyone was saying to not go into the city. How wrong they were.

Naples is an amazing and beautiful city.
But, Naples and it's trash. Naples and it's mafia. No shortage of each and both are major problems.
Both were problems even during WWII when my novel takes place. And still no solution.
