Crane Topples At Site Of New Pens Arena

A construction crane collapsed onto a car on Colwell Street at Washington Place in the city's Hill District Tuesday afternoon.

The owner of the car was working out at a Downtown gym when the crane collapsed onto his car.

"I just came walking up and went through the hotel and saw it, all the action," said owner Mike Bartek. "I said, 'My God. That looks like my car,' and it was."

There is no word on why the crane collapsed. There were no injuries reported.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
