This is so old it was recorded on Betamax then transferred to VHS and now YouTube. Hence the shit quality. Still, worth checking out. Filmed originally on The Tube circa 1986, it features Y Cyrff, Yr Anhrefn and Datblygu introduced by John Peel.

  • Yes, the Anhrefn song is called 'Cornel'. They filmed another video for the song in Belfast. It's on youtube somewhere.

  • @FlopMeister71 I think it was called Y gornel, not sure though used to slam dance away to them back in the day

  • Great stuff. I remember seeing this on the tube when it was broadcast originally. A great find. Any idea what the Anhrefn track is called?

  • I remember this was part of a really bizarre edition of the tube prerecorded from portmeirion where they re-enacted the 1960's tv series 'The Prisoner' with Stephen Fry and Stanley Unwin, it also featured Siouxie and the Banshees and Magnum.

I had it on tape for posterity only with Magnum edited out but must have taped over it as so often happens, memories eh?

  • Mr Whippy lives!!!!
