Its kinda, sad when this is the primary tactic used in game.... But this is what happens when you create a game with artificial pinch points everywhere (jumpgates), that players have no other choice but to use to get some where.

And smart people know how to spell System.

actually for people that dont know this is in a 0 security system and is completly normal as even frigs can engage without gategun agro or sec loss.. In lowsec you wont find this tactic as much in use.

@rfry then gtfo and dont fly lowsec... go back to suckin concords tit for protection and mission running
-
@rfry there are jumpbridges that can connect one system to another that might be 30 jumps away.

@vitallycool Thank you. I am going to watch that now. I've been looking for a riskier more competitive game.

How competitive is the Pking in this game? What do you lose if you die? What do you gain when you win?

@MrGoLuckyFish PvP is vastly different in even than any other game. Very intense and very brutal. You lose your your ship which can be worth weeks of work. I describe a little more about how the game works in my Lets Play Eve Online - Part 1: Introduction video.

You camp in virtual space in a videogame...
Don't take me wrong, but this seems so no-life to me. I don't know how the game's dynamics work (although I like the graphics, would love to try it out once), but are you waiting without knowing if anyone will come, or do you know in advance so you set yourself up for the occcasion?

@SubzeroedMind The fleet we had that night was very mobile. We would only halt and camp for a few minutes when our scouts reported incoming hostiles.
