You got it in one....Maintenance man...Not lift engineer........Things break down 1 day or 10 year after they are installed. ..The problem with it is parents used the lift as a child minder while i was in the hotel every day young kids were left in the foyer playing with the lift. Any how it was only one floor up and one floor down, those things below your waist are called legs..
