Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (cover)

I first heard this song on the 2nd Season Finale of the West Wing and it had an amazing effect on me, here's my cover with only a few mistakes.

by the way, this is my first time directly laying the audio over the video to make it a better quality and I got it perfectly synced but i think it gets like slightly quieter about halfway in the video so just turn it up a bit more.

Hopefully from now on, my videos will be done in this fashion now that I have the process down :)

nice job! that must be a 620 or 630 right? Why dont you make a multi channel recording of it with the built in sequencer (or with audacity on a pc) ? Im currently doing another ds cover on audacity in my most ambitious music project to this date which I hope to complete and upload very soon.

thx a lot, it's the ypg-625. and hmm multi-channel you say? I like doing it all in one take actually, it's always a fun challenge to mesh the background and the melody/voices all together at the same time haha.

sure but variation spices things up,doesnt it? So far I have created 10-15 channels, pretty similar to the original recording. Drums, bass, organ I do on a keyboard, vocal, accoustic and electric guitars I do with genuine instruments. The result is pretty cool and I've learned a lot in the process.

Yeah I've played around with that function a few times, but MOST of the effects on my digital piano--excluding the piano itself, which is pretty good--are pretty crappy (at least to me) so yeh. Anyways lemme kno if you post your project =)

That was absolutely beautiful renditions of that song. It's amazing how well you were able to change it for piano. Absolutely beautiful are the only words I can think of.
