  • Hello i've a question i'd like to ask. I own a German made 5 string Bubinga Corvette but i'm hankering after a 6 string bass and i'd just like to know how big the difference in quality is as I'm thinking of selling the german made 5 to buy the korean 6. As far as i can tell the materials on the korean model are identical (minus the silver hardware) and they sound great but im not sure if i should lose the german corvette as they're now rare. Could i please have some advice on quality difference?

  • @gunryobassist I assume you're talking about a Warwick bass made in Korea. They are good, but the German made instruments are better. I can't say how much... there is no scale to measure that. I would keep the Corvette 5 and save your money. You might find it's handy to have a 5 string around as you may not always want to play the 6.

  • Do you think it's worth it to get a Warwick Rockbass? I know it's kind of the Squier/Epiphone equivalent for Warwick and I was wondering whether for my price range ($500-$700), they're still the best (or whether at that price, a MiM Fender or an Ibanez SR would be better bang for the buck)

  • @eaterofcandy _ I have never tried the Rock Bass line, so I can't say. But if you like Warwick and that's all you can afford, then you should get one.

  • Is a Jazz bass capable of this tone? I was considering getting a Warwick, but the pickups are j-style. Does it have to be an active bass for this kind of tonal palette?

  • @Animatronica - A J bass has a very different sound, even if the pickups are similar. The wood plays a big role in the Warwick tone.

  • @zulafiq40 By swapping them out, and playing many basses?

  • @FKNhostile187 That's all down to preference and which wood you prefer the tone of

  • Quick question, Bubinga or Ash, i'm crazy about the Bubinga basses, but curious about the Ash ones. Thoughts?

  • im sorry but how did you try

different pick up for bass? sorry idk.. please tell me Ed..

  • In the video during the close up of the headstock, I can make out the small text "Pro Series"... so to confirm, this is one of the new Korean made Warwicks, and retails for about 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the old German Warwicks?

Sounds like the best value bass going around at present....

  • @eaterofcandy Get a used corvette standard. It's only a little out of your budget, but save a little longer. It's a huge step up in quality and sound. You won't regret it for sure.

  • @BassGuitarMag thanks alot for your time and advice
