And by the way, I tried everything to get rid of the roaches before... i called a professional to spray the place, strategically placed poison bait in the apartment, bought countless anti-roach sprays that got great reviews on Amazon.com... nothing worked. They kept coming in through the vents, which is apparently now where Stevie sleeps. It's a sweet deal... I pay like three bucks a month to feed him, he keeps the place roach-free.

eat roaches in the wild*... my bad

Mice actually eat roaches in a while, and I have found out that mine is one of the only apartments that is roach-free. I named the mouse Stevie, and I leave food (bird seed and sugar-free whole grain cereal pieces, and the occasional sunflower seed) and water out for him. He's wonderful... he doesn't crap in the apartment and there is only one of him (no infestation). He just comes and goes as he pleases, but spends most of his time in my apartment. So people, mice can be awesome.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you for being a decent human being. I would also like to share my house mouse story with all you folks who think they're nothing but pests. I live in a Baltimore apartment with a cockroach problem. I would occasionally find a massive roach in my room... until my savior arrived. One day, this adorable little house mouse popped up in my apartment. He has been living with me for three months now and I haven't seen a roach since.

They're so cute! I think it's great that you captured them and gave them a home.

@megacrazihorselover Too much makes them sick, mice can eat cheese in moderation. However, the mice were going into the box themselves, she/he wasn't feeding them it on purpose. Cheerios is also not real cheese.
How did u catch them????

I noticed that often when I went into my kitchen at night and turned on the light, a mouse would jump out on this Cheerios box I had on my microwave and run under the stove...so whenever I went into the kitchen at night, instead of turning on the light I would grab the cheerios box, and if there was a mouse inside I would dump it in the cage. It worked pretty well until they ate all the Cheerios, now I have a box of Cheese-its there that I'm using as a mouse trap.
