Thanks for getting back to me, I've done what you said and I found the options you talk about but I can't get a palette, is it possible theres a fault in my installation?

@itzdermott I'm afraid I'm just not familiar enough with PSP X to be of any real use. Try looking at the user to user forums. We have lots of people there who are familiar with the many different versions of PSP so you might get a better answer there. forum.Corel.com

I need to know how to locate the colour I want to flood fill with, for some reason I can not get a pallette of colours to choose from, I don't seem to get the option for it anywhere, I'm using Paint Shop Pro X - cheers.

@itzdermott All colors are picked using the "Materials Palette" which has its own set of tutorials much earlier on than this one. If you can't see the materials palette then you need to turn it on. You can do this from the View menu (View->Palettes->Materials) It should also have a short-cut key of F6.
