O mio babbino caro (Oh my dear papa) is an aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi (1918), by Giacomo Puccini, to a libretto by Giovacchino Forzano.[1] It is sung by Lauretta after tensions between Schicchi and his prospective in-laws have reached a breaking point that threatens to separate her from Rinuccio, the boy she loves. It provides a contrasting interlude expressing lyrical simplicity and single-hearted love in the atmosphere of hypocrisy, jealousy, double-dealing and feuding in medieval Florence of Puccini's only comedy, and it provides the only set-piece in the through-composed conversational musical give-and-take. @voizovrsn Moron singers in opera or musical theatre often uses microphones in their heads even if is hidden in the hair (not her case).And a microphone only amplifies the voice it cannot change it.... IF her voice was week the microphone wouldn't help at all

You both can and must be very happy now.She stopped her contract in 2010 and left André and JSO to go back to Brasil and start her own One Woman Show (These Women). Not opera but Piaf, Garland, Elis, Merlyn, Elisete ......Teatro Positivo - Grande Auditorio, Curitiba on March 8 2012.

BUT if it is possible she will join Andre and JSO during his tour 2012 in Brasil.

@JustSomeOldGuy Nice little voice, but she uses microphone on her face. Wonder what she sounds like without it. For a really beautiful pure voice with perfect Italian vowels, go to Gina Colao Decker, a virtually unknown till now.
