Brixton Splash 2009

Bro. Rashid from Genesis Radio investigates this years Brixton Splash (2009). It is the fourth occurrence of this local Lambeth street event, which thankfully passed without trouble. Held mostly on the Coldharbour Lane part of Brixton market, it is becoming a prominent date in the calendar. Blacker Dread (from the famous Sir Coxsone sound system), spoke with Rashid about the annual event.

They tend to keep these kind of events as low key as possible these days. An attempt to reduce the "post code violence" by not letting people know who might want to attend from far off areas methinks. A kind of divide and conquer.
