  • Nice engine. Too bad you can make more power with an 8v-92t

  • @avalancheno1 359 has the air cleaners going through the panel in the side of the hood. 379 has cab mtd air cleaners. The Corvette dash is the classic trademark of the 359. 359 sleepers are different as well, have full door on the curbside.

  • @Drewsky840 I always felt the "corvette dash" (looked like the dash of the C1 and C2 versions of the corvette) was the big give away. I think the cut off year for the 359 was 1987. The earliest 379 (as a exhd OTR truck)I remember seeing was 1987, so they must have built them both that year. The early 379's had a squared off rectangle dash. They switched to the rounded off oval shape dash in the early 2000's.

  • @avalancheno1 Peterbilt 379's replaced the 359's but I'm not sure what year the 379's were introduced.

  • @theunknown2142 It's about 19 liters.

  • Nice engine but swinging both ways just isn't my style :p

  • @200xboy01

    1,099 cubic inches.

  • @avalancheno1 thats a 359. easiest way to tell is the black part on the air cleaner

  • They use to call the V8 Cat the Ground Shaker!

  • 3408s were crankbusters.
