3-minute documentary about residents of tower block in centre of Newcastle, showing diversity of people that live there. Five residents were interviewed and their words turned into a short song. Each resident was then filmed in their flat singing their words to camera with a small live band accompanying them. This was edited together to form the full song that moves between the flats of the singing residents with the band accompanying them. The residents were really great and put their all into it. Funded by Northern Film and Media and Newcastle City Council, and with the help of Places for people who run the tower block. It's hard to know which category this belongs in.

I liked what I guess is its intention. But it would be better as a documentary. a song is too short. What do I think? So this is what our lives have become. We each are assigned a little cubicle to live in while we serve the big machinery. Ain't life grand, huh? I think there is more story to tell.
you only give what i want you to give. your'e frozen, when your'e ass's not open. ( it means, you don't want anything so what are you protecting ? the answer ultimately is = your life. do you like being alive ? ) if i could have your money, you'd never had to do anything.
Big ups to all the guys that participated and sung fro camera... clearly would have been a nerve-wracking experience, and some of the words (especially the Janitor) are quite confessional.
