@silvershan Yorkies are prone to hypoglycemia and it is old thinking that sugar water is the remedy it has been found to worsen the hypoglycemia significantly as opposed to small meals of proper nutrician.

@shayla92 sugar water is the same as karo. However sugar water will get on an damage teeth causing decay. Karo isn a syringe down the throat is better-however seizure meds are best. The old wives tale about sugar water and karo for seizures is just that it should only be used after a seizure in an emergency to get the blood sugar back up.

That's horrible! All those people criticizing you when you just wanted to know something! Hey it's normal for dogs to crap! People do it too! Anyways your dog isn't having a seizure but I think it's a good idea to take it to the vet. -Rebecca Morales

Spaniel Dogs like my Brittany spaniel suffers from Low blood sugar seizures give him corn syrup every morng & Vet prescribes PREDNISONE to keep sugar levels up.

100% a seizure. I have a Blue Tick Coon Hound that has them roughly once a month. It can be 1 in 100 reasons...they really don't know & they won't treat the dog unless it becomes overwhelming too frequent...I GUESS it's relatively common in dogs of all breeds...Good Luck...The absolute BEST thing to do is massage the dogs muscles, comfort them & baby them. They become scared like children do.

@bennyworldwide Lol you shouldn't treat your master more worthless then you ^-^ it might cause to be fatal
Thanks for posting this video. My dog just had what I thought was a seizure this morning and I took him to the emergency vet and they really didn't help me very much. They just said that he looked very good when I took him in (about 30 minutes after the epidsode), but what my dog did is basically the same as this except that he tried to walk around during it, but didn't really have control of his legs. I am still going to video my dog if he does it again, but thanks again for posting this.

@tiffnyloo He sometimes walks around during an "episode" too. We filmed it and brought i to our vet and she watched the first 15 seconds and said, yes, it was a seizure. That was almost two years ago. He averages one seizure a month now but they are still pretty mild. If your dog has more then one in a day I would take him to your vet...it is considered an emergency.

I guess I should update this. We brought Duke to the vet right after posting this video. The vet watched and said it was a mild seizure. Since then he has seizures all the time sometimes only once a month sometimes three in a week. But they were all mild up until his last one a few days ago. There was no question if it was a seizure. Anyways, we are not treating yet he seems OK between them. I left the video up for educational purposes for others. Thanks to all who responded..
