From the Album "Black Sabbath Deluxe Expanded Edition".

Black Sabbath's debut album is given over to lengthy songs and suite-like pieces where individual songs blur together and riffs pound away one after another, frequently under extended jams. There isn't much variety in tempo, mood, or the band's simple, blues-derived musical vocabulary, but that's not the point; Sabbath's slowed-down, murky guitar rock bludgeons the listener in an almost hallucinatory fashion, reveling in its own dazed, druggy state of consciousness. Songs like the apocalyptic title track, "N.I.B.," and "The Wizard" make their obsessions with evil and black magic seem like more than just stereotypical heavy metal posturing because of the dim, suffocating musical atmosphere the band frames them in. This blueprint would be refined and occasionally elaborated upon over the band's next few albums, but there are plenty of metal classics already here. [Universal/Sanctuary's 2009 reissue of the album included a digitally remastered version of the original recordings, as well as a second disc stocked with nine previously unreleased tracks, nearly all of which are just alternate takes]. Lyric:
-------

Precious cups within the flower
Deadly petals with strange power
Faces shine a deadly smile
Back up on you at your trial

Chill and numbs from head to toe
Icy sun with frosty glow
Whyd you go reaching your sorrow?
Whyd you go read no tomorrow

Feel your spirit rise with the priest
Feel your body falling to its knees
Take your walk of remorse
Take your body to a corpse
Take your body to a corpse
Take your body to a corpse
If you want all remorse
Take your body to a corpse

Now from darkness, there springs light
Wall of sleep is cool and bright
Wall of sleep is lying broken
Sun shines in, you are awoken

  • Re-check your lyrics.

  • @moparcrazy: I don't see anything wrong there.

  • @TheMaggot81 did you get these lyrics from any official source? because as far as I'm aware almost all the lyrics are wrong.

  • @pinkmullet4: I've copied them from a lyrics site. If you can prove that those are wrong and provide me the right ones i'll change them.

  • Thank you for posting this!!!! The quality is superb which is rare on youtube. One of the best albums of all time.

  • seems like he's refering to overdosing on heroin, deadly pedals(poppy plant), then seeing visions of death while comatose, probably wrong but thats what I get outta the lyrics.

  • Lyrics are wrong brotha...

  • @TheMaggot81 you aren't even going to change the lyrics? really?

  • ok last thing ... i used to get the lyrics by repeatedly lifting up the needle on the turntable.

that is the best way i know to this day. unfortunately u can't do it anymore.

destroying the precious vinyl as i did it, but i needed the words.

u can't be lazy and look at the first site u see ..... put some effort and thought in

    the composers did

  • @TheMaggot81 listen!

just, as a starter ... it's LOOK UPON you at your trial ('back up on you' MAKES NO SENSE!

use logic, and heari)ng ... lyric sites are a joke. like all the other non-vetted stuff on the internet.

    it isn't fact!

but thanks a bunch for the great tunes ... that i am truly sincere about. but u did butcher the words.

    peace

  • @moparcrazy they are wrong

ignore him, great tune and great upload with regards to sound.

    no biggie on the words

  • I like this version a lot more.

  • I heard NI.B on the radio 2 days ago so I guess radio stations are taking a good direction =P

  • @TheMaggot81 oh and its, "sleepy wall of remorse" instead of "if you want all remorse"

  • @TheMaggot81

    Vengence cupped within the flower

    Deadly petals with strange power

    Faces shine a deadly smile

Look upon you at your trial

Words that go read to your sorrow

Words that go read no tommorow

Turns your body to a corpse

I suppose my proof is that if you listen to the song again you will hear these are definitely the proper lyrics.and also I guess "almost all" was a bit of an overstatement.
