    replacing the third with a 2nd or 4th, keeping the 3rd but adding a 4th of 2nd would usually be called add 11 or add 9

  • @snezzyG suspended. it's when you cut a note off a chord to add another. for example, dsus4 is when you cut the f# on the high e string to add the g instead, which is the 4th note from d. d e f g -g is the 4th one. same with 2, you cut the f# to play the open high e. d e - e is the 2nd note from 2. that's usually how it goes, hope i helped ya a bit buddy ;).
