it is an "mistake" , you have to hit some strings that normaly doesn't have to sound,so that sound with the distorcion makes that sound

The sound you actually get when doing a pinch harmonic is hugely dependent on your pickup and tone. ie: if you're playing clean the sound dies quickly and just sounds high and lifeless. With more gain the sound sustains and really punches through. More effect on a humbucker than a single coil too. It's pretty hard to do. Just keep experimenting with your tone - it sounds like you've got the technique down.

ye its either just interference like when you get too close to the amp or over load it or hes scratches the string with the pic like on savior by rise against
