Following yet another failed airline bomb attack originating from Yemen, the country is once again in the spotlight. Question is, is anyone tackling the rising terror threat?

The battle between Yemeni authorities and their terrorists is hardening. As Al-Qaeda membership widens in the impoverished country, President Ali Abdullah Saleh states, "Young people become convinced to join, believing they are following a religious path". Now it is up to counter-terrorism forces in Yemen; "We are fighting for our lives". But there are many questions about the effectiveness of the Yemeni authority's tactics.

  • @star0shadows stfu dumbass

  • Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) also uses the name Ansar al-Sharia, or the Army of Islamic Law, in its battle against government forces. Fighters have allegedly sworn allegiance to Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Egyptian co-founder of al Qaeda who took command of the terror group after Osama bin Laden was killed in a U.S. raid in Pakistan last May.

At least nine militants, including four men believed to be local leaders with ties to al Qaeda, were killed late Monday in an air strike in Yemen, according to local and international reports

  • Cool. When is the cia going to drone these extremists

  • big intelligence all shows that ali saleh has been staging (alqaeda) attacks and leading them to gain sympathy for years and trick patron nations into giving funds to the corrupt security institutions which is then syphoned off. from mouth of ali mohsin al ahmar, highest general in yemen, and former minister of defence, and many other generals and security men who have access to top secret information. no wonder ali saleh is trying to kill them and has forgotten about al qaeda!

  • This is an advice to my American friems from a chinese student. Please Vote for Sarah Palin and make her the next president.
