I was just trying to see how my new camera will do filming so I decided to film my ride on the Trinity Railway Express from T&P Station to Dallas Union Station. The camera is a Sony DSC-H20 filming in 720p. The video is kind of long but for train lovers its worth it.

I have decided not to include a sound track since I love the "long long short long" horn sequence that this cab car is giving out at intersections. The train has the locomotives always facing the Fort Worth side so the ride to Dallas was in a cab car while the number 569 F59PHI was proving the locomotion power in "push" mode.

My ride started at T&P (Texas and Pacific) Station, on to ITC (Intermodal Transportation Center, Downtown Fort Worth), Richland Hills, Hurst/Bell, Centreport/DFW, West Irving, South Irving Transit Center, Medical Market Center, Victory Station and finally Dallas Union Station.

  • Wait I saw a F59PHI in the yard when you were passing

  • Lol the budd cars (13 in total) are still running on the DCTA A train that runs from denton to carolton along interstate 35-E

  • Yep...Its about the only train in Dallas thats not crammed full of free-loafing niggers!

  • @tink1630 Amen, tink.

  • Kicking and screaming DFW is being dragged into the 21st century. Finally we are going to have a real city here.

  • This is a really good vid. Thanks for sharing. I was born and raised in FTW and have seen the TRE each time I come back to visit. Glad to see FTW has progressed so much... now I'm beginning to miss the old hometown.
