The Lion King - The Coconut Song

Translation: Leijonakuningas - Kookospähkinä laulu

Voice talents:
Scar: Jukka-Pekka Palo
Zazu: Veikko Honkanen
Shenzi: Raija Jääskä
Banzai: Antti Pääkkönen
Ed: Jim Cummings

There's one important thing that you should know about my subtitles. When I translate them, I try to keep them in the same word order like in Finnish. I believe you're smart enough to get the sentences without the correct places of each word. Like for example: "Sleeps a lion" is in the same word order as in Finnish BUT if I was in school I'd have to translate it like "A lion sleeps". Get the point? Good! Just thought it would be a nice addition to my videos :) And oh most of the sentences I translate literally but there are some exceptions.

This is the Finnish version of "The Coconut Song" which is from the movie called "The Lion King".

The video and subtitles are made by me. The Lion King is copyrighted by the Disney company so I don't own the clips. All I own are the subtitles.

The Finnish lyrics are semi-official. I've taken those from lionking.org to make sure that they're about 95% right. So very special thanks to Oskari Grönroos for putting those there, we all really appreciate it.

So, I hope you enjoyed the video! I'm gonna put all the TLK songs in Finnish with trans + subs so just wait. Comment, rate and the most importantly enjoy! :)

  • WOW!! I like this version, I was very surprised when I saw ¿Qué pasa? It's Spanish!!!! I'm glad to hear it =D Finnish versions are always great!

  • @alixonxy Oh thank you so much! :) I really like it too (damn I just noticed that I should have put the question mark there xD well mistakes mistakes that's life), that must have been my first Spanish sentence I learnt :) Aw that's so sweet! I really like the Finnish version too, it's always great to hear that not-Finns like it too :) Thank you so much for commenting! =)

  • Mä kuulen aina ton ekan lauseen "Niin yksikään muu ei mua auttamaan jää" ja sitten tossa taas kun Scar laulaa taustalla "rikki vaan ne kaikki saa niin lupasi mainokset". Noin kuulin nytkin vaikka yritin kuunnella noin miten sä olit tekstittäny, mut en sitte mee vannomaan miten se oikeesti menee :)

I always here the first line "So none other stays to help me" and the line when Scar sings in the background "All them can get broken, so promised the ads" but I'm not sure if that's right :)

  • @nomekopp Hahah that actually makes more sense! :) But yeah I always copy the parts that I'm not sure about from lionking.org so, but actually now I think that makes so much more sense :) Hmm. I feel so much like reuploading & editing but I swore that I'd do that just once. Plus the Scar part, I actually had no idea what it was so I just put it like I thought it could be x) The ads one sounds hilarious btw! I also hear the part like "lupasi päivän sen" :D Thank you for commenting!
