  • is it me or is that bass out of tune?

  • @KoivuTheHab Seconded. The sound may be similar to what would later be called "punk", but it isn't punk anymore than the 30s and 40s era Big Bands use of opening and closing mutes made it "doo-wop", although that was exactly the sound the 50's doo-wop groups were going for.

  • @dirtywaterclub That's not true, no one in the 60's was refering to any music as punk. Garage Beat isn't punk, end of story.

  • @KoivuTheHab The term 'punk' was first used in a music related way before the seventies 'punk' scene got going. People like Dave Marsh in Creem magazine used it in reference to sixties garage bands as early as 1974.

  • The Surf, Paragon Park, Nantasket Beach, Massachusetts!!!

  • 60s Punk!!!

  • @psychodamned That isn't news to me, nor anyone else who knows anything about music, but to say there was punk in the 60's is just plain dumb.

  • @KoivuTheHab IGGY AND THE STOOGES and THE MC5 .... you need to learn that punk didn't just start with The Sex Pistols.

  • @KoivuTheHab Such a dumb statement.
