This is my review on the Spyderco G10 Manix 2... complete with some of my usual complaining about the Benchmade Axis lock... but with a little more detail this time. I call the Caged Ball lock an Axis killer... that's my personal opinion of it so if you get your feelings and/or ego hurt due to my ramblings then please don't start shit... I'll simply block you after being really mean to you... and I'll probably end up making a voodoo doll with your name on it and poke it with my Spyderco Kiwi excessively. =)
Be sure to read the tags if you get mad at me during this video... there's something just for you there.

For everyone else... I hope you enjoy your time here... maybe you'll find something here useful and entertaining.

  • For EDC purposes like cutting shit open, opening boxes and mail, and just overalll edc shit, would you reccoment the para2 or the manix 2?

  • @billyhirvine09

Well I recommend either one of them highly, and either one of them would excel at EDC tasks, however for me personally I slightly prefer the Para 2 overall. Either one you get you'd be getting a great blade though.

  • benchmade is just like harley davidson, over-priced and under-enginered

  • @TheTater1984

LMAO! Maybe that's why they make a Harley Davidson line of knives too, HAHA!

I'm more of a Yamaha or Suzuki man myself... something like the YZF-R1 would suit me just fine! =)

  • just telling it like it is, love that about you/nothing fancy

  • @teyacapan

Well thank you, I appreciate it.

I don't like to recommend something I have reservations about myself.

However if I love it, you'll hear me loving it a lot, HAHA.

  • Ur not right no no

  • @Hydra572

I think that would be excellent with a coil spring indeed. Like I said, the Axis crossbar itself is very durable... it's just those dinky little omega springs, HAHA.

I would be very interested to see if you do decide to custom work it. =)

I do love Benchmade's blade steels, a lot of their handles and their designs honestly.

I currently have all my BM balis and my BM 760 LFTi that I love... but no omegas in them!

  • @Hydra572

You're welcome, glad to do it. =)

Well if you really like the Bedlam then I don't see why you should not go for it. Just be aware that you might have to send it in for new Omegas one day. I did love the Bedlam auto I had awhile back (did a review of it too) but after I kept having issues with the Axis locks I decided to trade it away before that one was a victim as well. I just wish Benchmade would do more liner locks, frame locks and lock backs, because I love their blades.

  • @X4CTO Continued, or, from what I see in that griptilian, it seems that if I had the guts to do the custom work, I could cut a channel into the handles, and do a little addition to the liners which would allow you to throw a coil spring in... Hm... I'll have to consider trying to do this on a cheaper Benchmade.
