@SethHisoka --I believe the first fairly accepted product was the Radar-Range by Amana in 1967.....I just checked....says it was first sold in 1947 but was huge...not many people purchased it then. They started selling quite a bit in the early to mid 70's. I remember when my grand father bought one in 1971 or 72, I believe. It was about $500.
