Triple Drop formed in Dublin in early 2009 through a love of music, laughs and parties. Sean(Singer,Guitarist),eager to form a new band, found Brian(Bassist) through another band he was starting and began jamming old Beatles songs and easy little ditties they loved from the 60s and 70s together in Seans house, usually under the influence. Brian was determined to do things right and would travel an hour and a half sometimes on Sunday mornings to get Sean off his hungover ass to play music. Sean had his notebooks of lyrics and countless ideas for songs he wanted to play and knew now that he had someone in Brian he could rely on to play music with and hit the road running. All they needed was a drummer,Luke,(drums!)who heard the boys needed someone to play with them for an upcoming gig they had booked in Mayo without a drummer and over one boozey weekend strolled on into the band with such an air of confidence he was an immediate member.And has since, added the needed dance beats to the upbeat 'tunes of freedom'. The boys love of music and good times comes through in their regular energetic and 'balls to the wall' gigs in Dublin. During Summer 09' they became the resident band in Eamonn Dorans in Temple Bar and played there every Wednesday Night with a wide range of other upcoming acts.Their music ranges from punk to dance to ska/reggae with hip hop influences and a hint of psychedelia for flavour. Their main incentive is to create dancey,pumping and original upbeat tunes, influenced by all the music they love Their music has their own unique sound and mixes all the right chemicals for a good trip so drop ur responsibilities and hit the dancefloor!
