I must be more European-ish than I thought! I love being able to speak both spanish and English because learning about another language and culture is a great thing. Open your minds fellow Amurikans :)... and get the hell out of your damn bubbles and learn something new so you won't be looked at as an asshole from the USA who thinks s/he is better than everyone in other bilingual and tolerant countries.. French, German etc... they're all amazing. learning language = inteligence

Obviously because you are unilingual they don't make sense to you and your brain cells aren't good enough to learn a 2nd or 3rd language. Very understandable coming from somebody with your background.

I'm a white guy born and raised in southern California, I grew up around both English at home and Spanish in public. We live in California (settled by the Spanish) and in a country with no official language. We speak whatever is most prevalent and in Ca that is Spanish. Spanish is our culture, and children should be immersed in it and learn it. I'm an American but before that I'm a Californian. Viva California!

I don't need to learn freaking Spainsh you idiot!

We need English to be the official language because immigrants are NOT trying to learn English becuase we accommodate them too damn much.

I'm learning German because I actually like it (unlike Spainsh which I had to endure for years because my high school only had Spanish, French, and Japanese).

They think we are stupid because theres not "alot" of us that speak-study a second Language, well the Truth is many of US do. I study 8 Languages. when foreigners meet you & you can speak some of their Language

they think you are smart/er & it Improves our Image. besides its Fun to learn Different Languages

Now, why should I have to learn antother languge in order to accomodate people who can't speak English? English has traditionally been the official language of the United States, and in at least one state, CA, it's the official language. People who come to live in my country need to learn my language. The same is true if I live in Mexico, Germany, France, etc. Learn the common language of whatever country you live in. It's not that complicated.

@DeanApril14 Is that the only Spanish speaking country you can think of? If I PERSONALLY wanted to speak Spanish I would probably go to a country like Spain or perhaps Chile (the coast is wonderful). It seems that those who most vehemently shout about not wanting to learn Spanish know the least about the language and where it comes from or how it evolved.
