One key aspect of saving for retirement is to put away as much money as you can each year. I have clients who went with the Roth version of their 401k plan, and then had to reduce the amount of their annual salary deferrals since they were no longer going to get the income tax deduction offered by a traditional 401k. For these clients, I tell them they are better off forgoing the tax-free growth of the Roth 401k to be able to put away more money for their retirement.
Thank you for your time. Unfortunately people seem to either blindly continue trusting the government or simply turn a blind eye to their track record. The company that I just started working for just implemented a Roth 401K; I believe that most are in the lower tax bracket. Do you think they have a chance of some benefit by joinging it?
