@amazinhazon - We all do - because we've all violated God's laws. A Just God cannot let sin go unpunished - God is also merciful, however, and provided the payment for us.

God came to earth to meet our greatest need. If we had needed money, He would have sent an economist. If we had needed political power, He would have sent a political king. But our greatest need was to be saved from our sins, so He sent a Savior! His love is so amazing!
