You guys are WAY too soft on the TNG movies.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I started watching TNG show a couple months ago as you guys had suggested. I'm all the way through Season 2 and I'm having a blast! I also managed to watch the TNG films, so here's my ranking:
1. First Contact- Without a doubt, my favorite of them all!
2. Insurrection- I actually enjoyed this one
3. Generations- Not very good, but not as bad as most people think.
4. Nemesis- I absolutely hated this movie. So depressing, and nothing made any sense.

Generations: Crap in every way 0.1/5
First Contact: Say what you want, is better that Generations, but is still a plie of horse shit 2.5/5
Insurrection: At least Picard here is more calm and laid back than in the previous movie, but that doesnt mean that this movie is good....still better than Generations
Nemesis: I........kinda like it 3.4/5

I'd have to give generations the nod because it had kirk, scotty and chekov.

Nemsis wasn't bad. It at least has the best opening music of any movie.

Despite being a fan of TNG, the only TNG movie that I enjoyed was First Contact.

Star Trek Generations was not very good look back on it...and there are a couple of glaring plot holes in the film. Especially when it came to the Nexus and Picard deciding which point in time to go back with Kirk.
First Contact is really the only one out of the four I think is pretty good. Still, it's not on part with Star Trek II.

I have been saying for years that Insurrection would've been great as a two part episode.
Glad im not the only one who says it.

First Contact was totally decent.

A film doesn't have to be really action orientated in order to be great or be liked by many people. I mean citizen kane for example might not be the greatest movie of all time but it is a great movie. That doesn't have any action scenes in it and it's still loved by people today because of it's good writing and sometimes that's all you really need to make for a great movie.
You guys should talk about Star Trek fan-edits. There's even a cut of Nemesis that tries to be good!
If not for this show, you could do it on Geeks Not Nerds with the superhero film fan-edits.
Either way, just search for fanedit.org and you should find all you need to know.
