No wonder they have street signs with snow warnings on all roads entering the city.
At first we heat the air a little with dynamic braking, coming off the WSOR to a stop right on the crossing while the conductor walks forward from the end of the train.
Then it's southward out of town, past one of those street signs...

  • Nice catch. I've never seen this train down there. What time was this?

  • Well, after 9AM it was - camera time is still wrong.

  • Thanks. 10 did sound unusually late to me.

  • Thank you - that was today shortly after 10 AM. They had just turned by backing around the WSOR wye. A late, long CJ showed up shortly thereafter (unless that train just came from Darien/Elkhorn, had lots of grain hoppers).
