Two Sabre Steam coal fired Roundhouse conversions overhauled into running condition by loco builder John Campbell running on my garden railway. Both locos are run light engine, then with a train of cattle wagons - and finally double headed.
Marvelous layout and video and just what Sabre Steam loco owners need to see. I do have a couple questions: 1) your coal recipe shows more than just anthracite and the plume is beautiful. Please describe your recipe, and 2) do you have a summary of what work was done? Maybe G Scale Central would be the best place for a respone. Regards, Will
We added ordinary bituminous domestic house coal to get the plume - but they did run better on the proper steam coal/'anthracite as originally supplied by Sabre.
John Campbell made the improvements to the locos - I think there are contact details on G Scale central. I just supplied the railway and did the filming :-)
