Yea it's a rainbow. He's huge now and mixed in with all my African cichlids. He's tough as nails.

thanks. i really should update my videos. my tank is nothing like it was then. there is tons of tufa rock, some slate, 3 large pieces of driftwood, and it has black gravel now. and i have different fish in there. i still have the rainbow though. :)

it's 55 gallons. he's quite a bit biggger now. i need to shoot a new video. i don't have the sand anymore.

I've had it for about 2 months only and it has doubled in size.

I have a Rainbow shark that i bought when he was just an inch long, and hes about 5 inches now. His fins were bright red, but now they have turned a dark, dark, close to black, red. The coloration looks cool and i rather prefer it, but i dont know if something is wrong with him. Anything? And i know hes a rainbow shark because he has the rainbow.

thats a redtailed shark, its body is a dark black, usually a rainbow sharks colors are a little more pale in the body

your fish looks very active! I have had mine a year and a half and we very rarely see him, he has lots of hiding places and placid tank mates yet he only comes out to chase other fish, he's a bad ass! i have a vid of him up!

Cool fish, I have one as well. I also have an Albino Rainbow Shark, plus three Red-Tail Black Sharks (and many other species of freshwater fish) within my tank.
