The Freyfogles (Like "Bon Jovi," but with the Last Name of Freyfogle)

Once Upon a Time, Ladies and Gentlemen, a favor was granted and the debt was never repaid.

A poor, lost, lonely first year law student found herself with a broken jaw; the jaw having been wired shut to heal, she asked her property professor, "Sir, can I ask you kindly not to call on me today?"

"Why certainly," he responded -- and those were his exact words, "so long as you sing for the class once you're healed."

Like many things about which one worries, her fears never came to light. The day never came when she was asked to sing in property. BUT FINALLY...today the bell tolled. The buzzer sounded. (I'd say "the fat lady sung," but that's the part we're getting to in a moment) * * * * *

Sarah Elizabeth Wellard is a woman of many talents. She can cook minute rice in 30 seconds. She's faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and can leap tall buildings in a single bound. She once turned herself into a newt (she got better)...

But she cannot sing.

Fortunately she had friends who can. Aided by two gracious, and vocally-gifted members of Attempted Battery, the three students sang at the University of Illinois College of Law, ACCOMPANIED BY PROFESSOR FREYFOGLE PLAYING THE GUITAR.

The amazingly talented, and stunningly beautiful Kate (Katerade) Bowen provided her vocal variance, and the equally talented, yet perhaps a-little-less-beautiful-than-Kate (aren't we all though?!) Jason Sweat alike demonstrated his vocal prowess. Unquestionably, the accompaniment was more exciting than the original singer.

This, Ladies and Gentleman, was a moment never to be forgotten.
