never once said the irish were a race-that`s wht you can`t be a mixed irishman-your irish or your not-apart from everything else being `irish`is a mindset-that`s why i said in an earlier comment that i didn`t expect you to understand, if what your saying is so there are very few that can claim any nationality-one digression from nationality in a family tree deems you mixed. your nationality is your nationality-i still find the comment mixed irish offensive-your irish or not.

restlesswave: Irish is not a race or a mixed race. Yes some Irish are mixed race. What you probably mean is Irish is a mixed ethnicity. Yes you can be mixed race and Irish. Irish is a nationality and a ethnicity. I don't see why you can't get this simple concept. I never said Irish was a race because its not. Phil was a mixed Irish man. He was half white and half Black, and his nationality and part of his ethnicity was Irish. I don't care no more to tell you the truth.
