Volunteers contribute 70,000 hours of service at Mount Rainier National Park every year! When floods in late 2006 wiped out roads, trails, bridges, and campgrounds in the park, more than 1700 volunteers responded, along with partners like the Student Conservation Association and Washington Trails Association. Today, volunteers work with the National Park Service in many ways to protect the park's natural and cultural resources and serve its visitors, better than could ever happen without their help, and benefit from the satisfaction of giving back to a place that means so much to them. Join our team, and volunteer! Visit us at http://www.nps.gov/mora or http://rainiervolunteers.blogspot.com to learn more!
