Our 2nd semester 2nd project, Music Video of BA(Audiovisual communication). We took Mirah's The Garden as our commercial song to make this music video.

@Aymagi It's really great how you made this! I think someone talked about how the jagged shots made it look better, but I'm going to repeat them; the jagged film shots make it look a lot better! Were you an actor in this or were you behind the camara? Also, what program did you use to edit? Sorry about the questions, it's just that I'm thinking about what work went into this (it already looks like a lot!). I wish this went viral... But anyways, good job!

@fierygirlawesome Thanx, I really appreciate it! I wasn't acting in it, too much behind the scenes to do. And I used AVID Xpress to edit this. We had 8 hours of shooting and 8 hours of editing (all that we were allowed), so it was quite a rush. But I was very happy at the end. Thanks for watching!

@Aymagi You're welcome! By the way, how did you get the girl to have a completely different reflection in the mirror during the beginning of the video?

@fierygirlawesome We locked the camera off and filmed her doing her thing in normal clothes, then she went and changed and did all kinds of things as her alter ego in the mirror and we just rotoscoped the mirror out and layer it over the footage of her in her normal clothes

i really think this is a good video idea... i really wish it was edited a bit more tastefully . i think you should rent a higher end camera and spend a little more time on set.... it would be such a good idea to waste on a low budget.

@quincibaker I know, but unfortunately as part of our brief we had the constraints of 8 hours shooting and 8 hours editing, it was also my first time editing on AVID so it took quite a bit of time to just orient myself since I was used to FCP. We only had a Sony PD150 and some red heads to use, because that is the equipment that our department had - but hopefully soon in the future, I'll remake this...might even be a short film.

I have to say, I really like your video. I like the jagged film shots and transitions and I think you put a different spin on the song that I actually really like. Also, I had to watch it a few times before I caught all the exed out hearts in the year book at the end, like this is her repeated pattern. She's some sort of black widow and I think you also allude to that with that shot of the spider. Kudos to you, this is fantastic work!

BUT I LOVE IT!!!!! i just think it could actually be virally famous if you made a few adjustments..... the little details are so cool and i think you did the song such great justice... it could pass as the actual song's video
