Part 1: Backup Firefighter
The Metro Pack is 100' of 1 3/4" Hose in a Knass style roll. This is deployed when a line is needed beyond our preconnects. The Metro Pack can easily be deployed in tight spots and does not require hose to be flaked. Evolution Option 1 is done when a "Backup" Firefighter is available. The backup firefighter is in charge of forcible entry and deploying the "trunk line". Or 3" with gated wye attached.
1) Backup Firefighter Steps off Engine with tools (Irons, 6' Hook)
2) Backup Firefighter Proceeds to rear hose bed and grabs gated wye of 3" Dead Load. (Trunk Line)
3) Backup Firefighter Leads to objective with Trunk Line and Tools. NOTE: Multiple Bites may beed to be shouldered depending on stretch distance.
4) Backup firefighter ensures valves are closed on gate wye and calls for "water".
NOTE: In this video the line is charged at Pump Idle Pressure. Apparatus Operator must take NP, FL, and Elevation Loss into consideration for proper charge PSI.
