(graph explaining max and min + some annotations are incorrect + "viscosity" is spelled wrong)

AP Calculus Project: Application of Derivatives [N*SYNC - Tearin' Up My Heart]
Harriet, Adrienne, and Anna

Ryan is going swimming in the pool
Velocity at 5x² + 3x + 2
he's swimming really quickly with his crew, who want to find the acceleration
you can help him too
the water has a lot of viscosity [text: sat word meaning resistance to flow]
so how do you find the rate of change [text: acceleration = rate of change]
just take the derivative of the velocity
use the chain rule in this case
let it flow
find the derivative like a pro
5 and 2 make 10, 2 minus 1
times x + 3 + 0

how do you tell if its slowing or speeding
its really very simple like dr. seuss reading
when V and A are opposite signs, youre slowing down
when they're the same you're speeding up like Ryan

Jane is at a sunny beach
staring into the ocean waves
they are going up and down
lets find the maxima and minima without a frown
let it flow
find the local max and min like a pro
displacement is (1/3)x^3 .5x^2 6x+ 3
now we calculate the waves of the sea

first you find the derivative of the equation
then set it to zero, like payment in a tax evasion
use the quadratic formula , and we get 3 and -2
now lets distinguish them through

maximum from positive to negative
minimum from negative to positive
just sketch the graph, and it'll be cake
it doesn't even require trig

now lets review our lesson
acceleration is derivative of velocity
use the chain, quotient, or product rule
when necessary
its speeding up when V + A are the same
slowing when V+A are different claims
maximum when positive to negative
and minimum vice versa
just remember those three things, and you won't be lame
you'll be acclaimed

  • i signed in just to DISLIKE this piece of shit

    you sing crap

  • Is it really the chain rule? i learned it as power rule.. =.="

  • lmao

    that was great

    you all are super cute

  • amazing!! now the entire concept of max and min makes sense...lol <3 it!!! :D

  • Ohmygod I think I just choked on my own spit from laughing so hard.

Very creative. I'm not laughing because it's bad. It's just funny.
