Dynamic Duo of Spanish Songs - Images Imagenes on NJN

The Cuban duo Gema and Pavel are known for their masterful vocal expressions and intricate guitar arrangements. They have been acclaimed by Downbeat Magazine for their progressive fusion and sophisticated, contemporary sound. The duo has toured extensively in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, as well as the USA. In this Images/Imagenes special, produced in cooperation with the Center for Latino Arts and Culture and taped at Rutgers University, Gema and Pavel perform some of their most popular songs along with a special tribute song dedicated to the Island of Puerto Rico. So if you enjoy the Cuban troubadour tradition, the sentimental Bolero, Blues and Jazz fused with Afro pop, Flamenco and other world music sounds, then this show is not to be missed.
